Moose vs. Cody
Cody (Rhodes) and Moose have been feuding for the last few weeks because Cody is a bit of jealous husband. This has led to some interference and pull-aparts and will culminate in a match for Moose’s “Grand Championship” -the “European rounds”-style title created by Billy Corgan during his brief run at the helm- this week. Cody is killing it on the indie scene right now and somehow cut a deal to appear on both Impact and ROH TV. Moose has been doing a good job playing the good guy. Brandie is stuck in the middle and will probably play some role in the finish of the match.

Seriously, what is Karen Jarrett doing here?
After weeks of teasing “She” was revealed to be Karen Jarrett, wife of Jeff Jarrett, ex-wife of Kurt Angle. A lot was made of her return, and she apparently got a big pop from the audience. But I still don’t get why she is back on television. She feuding with Sienna and trying to pull off an “I Am a Boss Woman- You Better Respect Me” gimmick ala Stephanie McMahon. The only problem is that Karen is not Stephanie. EC3 is also having to grovel in front of the boss’s wife, which I hope leads to him and Double-J breaking a few guitars.

LAX Is Back!
I loved the first LAX run, and having Homicide and Konnan back on TV is a good move. Santana and Ortiz (EYFBO on the indies) are a great team who I am glad are getting a chance in front of a bigger audience. Their feud with Decay is progressing nicely. I expect more shenanigans and run-ins.
Alberto El Patron vs. Lashley
In a battle of two guys who turned WWE’s Chicken Salad into Chicken Sh*t, I don’t know who will come out on top. They’ve built Lashley up as an unbeatable monster, but is Patron the man to beat him? El Patron as a good guy always confused me. He’s a natural heel. He needs to be antagonizing the audience like he antagonizes fans on Instagram.
Presumably, there will also be some X-Division match and Josh Matthews being unbearable, but the above is what Impact is focusing on recently.
